1. Information we collect
We collect the business and contact details you give us when you register, the customer, job and quote records you create, photos and files you upload, and usage data such as pages visited and actions taken. Consumers who post a job lead share their name, contact details, address and job description.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to run the Service: to create your account, store and display your records, process payments through your connected provider, send you notifications and emails, match consumer leads to trades, and provide support. We also use aggregated, non-identifying data to improve the platform.
3. Sharing and marketplaces
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate (such as payment and email delivery providers) under appropriate confidentiality terms. When you opt in to the consumer marketplace, your public business profile is shown to consumers so they can request quotes.
4. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export or delete your data at any time. After account closure we retain limited records where required for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes, then delete the rest.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and notify you of any serious breach affecting your data.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your personal information, and you may export your business data. To exercise these rights, use the in-app tools or contact us. We respond to reasonable requests in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
7. Cookies
Trado uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies to track you across other sites.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes and post the updated date below. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
